Workout Routine to Melt Leg Fat Away

One of the main reasons people exercise is to lose weight. Having excess weight can cause numerous health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, some types of cancer just to name a few. Losing weight not only helps your health it can also boost your self esteem. Below is a simple workout routine to melt leg fat away without the use of leg exercise machines.


1. Leg Squat. To perform a leg squat you need to place your feet shoulder width apart. Now start to lower yourself as if you were going to sit on a stool or chair. Keep your back straight and go down slowly until your legs are parallel to the ground. Start to raise back up slowly until you are in the same position you were in when you started your squat.


2. Calf Raises. To execute calf raises stand with your feet a few inches apart and your body straight. Raise your heels in the air as high as you can and then lower your heels back to the ground. If you feel unsteady while performing a calf raise you can hold on to a chair to steady yourself and keep from falling.



3. Walking, Jogging, or Running. All three of these exercises build leg muscle and as an added benefit you get a cardiovascular workout as well. Some find it best to start out walking when they first start exercising and then later on, if you feel you are ready and want to, you can start to jog or run.


4. Stair Stepping. Stair stepping does not have to be done on a real set of stairs. All you need is a raised surface that is high enough to comfortably step on. This exercise is also good for cardio workouts as well.
