Water:
Make water your main beverage. You can add a cup of un-sweet tea or a cup of black coffee here and there but you should drink mostly water. Plain water can get a little boring, so you can change it up by adding fresh squeezed lemon, lime or even orange juice.
Stay away from sodas, even the diet ones. Diet sodas contain artificial sweeteners that can cause weight gain, contrary to popular belief. Artificial sweeteners such as Equal (Aspartame), Splenda and Sweet and Low put toxins in your body that can cause weight gain among other health issues.
Avoid 4 White Devils:
White Flour, Refined Salt, White Sugar, and Dairy are the four white devils to avoid. We all know about the flour, salt and sugar but now dairy too? According to Isabel De Los Rios who is a certified nutritionist and exercise specialist, “Dairy is one of the number 1 reasons people have such a hard time losing weight. It causes inflammation in the body, digestive problems, clogged arteries, and weight gain. Get your calcium from leafy greens and avoid dairy at all costs.”
Walk:
This is where a lot of people say they just don’t have time to walk every day. If you do anything at all, you have a chance to walk. If you don’t get out much, walk in your home. Walk in place or just walk around your home several times a day. Instead of finding the closest park available when you go to the store, park down the isle and walk a little further. When you go to work, park further away than normal, take the stairs instead of the elevator and things like that. Every extra step counts!
If you take these 3 things and put them into play immediately, you will see results. Just remember that the more active you are and the better you eat, the more you will lose.
