Millions of people suffer with heart disease and many have heart attacks and other problems way to early in life. In this day and age it is almost impossible to meet someone who does not have heart disease or at least have a family member or friend with it. Heat disease is the number 1 killer in America and is making its way into other countries as well.
There are many things you can do to prevent heart disease or if you already have heart disease, you can prevent any further problems and probably even improve your heart health.
Quit Smoking: I am sure you have heard this one before if you already have heart disease. Smoking is a huge risk factor for heart disease, heart attack and so much more. Cigarettes are full of toxic chemicals that can cause damage to not only your own health, but those around you.
Walk: Walking is the best exercise there is. You can walk anywhere you want, even in your living room in one place. You can also do things like park further away from the store and even spend a little more time in the store walking around. Walk outside in your neighborhood or anywhere you can and have a little extra time. The great thing about walking is that you can walk 1 mile in a day, but you don’t have to do it all at once! Take your time if you need to and walk in smaller intervals.
No Low-Fat Diet: Many low fat diets can harm you because you are not getting enough of the good fats. Choose healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil, salmon, walnuts and whole organic eggs.
Eat Saturated Fat: Eating saturated fats is not what causes heart disease. Things like processed foods, sugars and an overabundance of refined carbohydrates cause so many health problems. Watch the video below and let Isabel De Los Rios who is a certified nutritionist and exercise specialist explain more about the truth about saturated fats.
Begin implementing these 4 things and you will surely help your over all health plus prevent heart disease. Heart disease is a very real and very serious. Remember if you have heart disease or think you might, you need to be under a doctor’s care and follow his instruction for diet and exercise.
